&nbsp; The Junction City Fire Department has posted the following information on social media about the passing of Retired Fire Chief and former Junction City Commissioner Mike Ryan. 

"It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our respected brother and retired Fire Chief Mike Ryan. Chief Ryan served our department and community with unwavering dedication and commitment for over 34 years, leaving an enduring legacy of excellence and leadership. Mike also served as the mayor of Junction City, as well as a city commissioner.   He was very involved in KS legislature and with Junction City Professional Firefighters Local 3309. "
