Anne R. Brumm

With heavy hearts, we announce that Anne R. Brumm, 75, passed on April 17, 2025. Born on November 16, 1949, she remained a lifelong Junction City resident. Anne was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She married John C. Brumm on June 10th, 1970. They shared 37 years together. Anne was a lifetime active member of the First Baptist Church in Junction City. She was an intelligent and prudent individual who could be stern but exercised good judgment with a softer heart.

After graduating from Junction City High School, she attended Technical School in Salina, Kansas. Anne worked for over 30 years in Civil Service at Fort Riley, Kansas. Her last assignment was with Southwest CPAC before retiring with several service awards. Afterwards, she was employed for 8 years as a software editor before retiring a second time.

Anne was preceded in death by her father, Harold Washburn; mother, Imogene Washburn; husband, John C Brumm; great-grandson Thomas Brumm; and brothers John, Ron, David, and Jerry. She is survived by her son James Brumm, daughter Regina Brown (Michael T.), grandchildren Ashley Brumm, Christopher Calvert, Caleb Brown, Rachel Brown, great-grandchildren Gavin Calvert, Mila Calvert, SeAnna Brumm, and Daryl Brumm.

Visitation will be held at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
