--. UPDATE (9 PM Jan. 4): The City of Manhattan announced that road treatment continues very slowly due to the road conditions. Crews have redeployed additional resources to help finish the remaining primary routes. Some roads are refreezing due to light freezing drizzle that continues so crews will recheck and re-treat them as necessary before moving to residential streets.
--As the City continues treating residential streets Saturday night, they want to encourage everyone to park their vehicles off street if possible. This makes it easier for plows to maneuver and clear the snowfall. Please do not park on the street if you have another option such as a driveway. Cars parked on the street will cause complications as crews attempt to treat roads and clear snow around them.
Due to the intensity and duration of this storm, we have deployed additional resources from other departments and divisions, including 3 additional trucks with plows, to assist Public Works street crews.
