Snow pick-up work completed in Manhattan

  The City of Manhattan issued a snow removal update.

All primary routes were completed by #PublicWorks crews by 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 12. Day shift personnel finished their shift by preparing and refueling trucks for the night shift, which reported to work at midnight. Night shift completed snow pickup in the Aggieville and Downtown business districts at 5:45 a.m. Thursday and clocked out at 8 a.m., when the City shifted back to normal 8-hour operations with the return of the day shift. 

  Per standard operating procedures for snow and ice, the City will not be clearing residential streets as the recorded 2.6 inches of snowfall that Winter Storm Iliana deposited within the Manhattan city limits is below the 4-inch threshold that would trigger that action.
