Clarence Hubert "Sonny" Ehm, Jr., 80, of Junction City, Kansas died on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Rossville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Rossville, Kansas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Kerry Ninemire officiating. The recitation of the rosary will take place at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the rosary. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place following the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Sonny was born on November 25, 1943 in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Jeanne (Davin) Ehm. After graduating from St. Xavier High School in 1961, he served dutifully in the Kansas National Guard before embarking on a successful real estate career spanning over four decades in Geary County. His commitment to faith was evident through his active involvement in St. St. Xavier Catholic Church, alongside his lifelong memberships in the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #45.

On September 19, 1970, he married Linda Martin at St. Xavier Catholic Church. Second only to his beloved bride was Sonny's love of baseball. He played the sport throughout his youth and early adult years, eventually moving into coaching the American Legion Junior Blues and in other capacities for many years. Sonny incorporated baseball into his travels, making it to Fenway Park in Boston, Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Yankee Stadium in its original glory, and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife Linda of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Jon (Laura) Ehm of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; one daughter, Tiffany Ehm, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Finley and Erris Melvin; one sister, Karen Blanken of Topeka, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary "Christy" Wilhite.
