James M. Johnson, aged 70, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3rd, 2024, in Kansas City, KS. He was born on Jun.18, 1953, in Lithonia, GA, to parents James Willam and Annie Louis (Chapman) Johnson. He grew up with numerous brothers and sisters.
James was a resident of Manhattan for 34 years. He was a retired infantry soldier for the U.S. Army. His hobbies were collecting toy cars and trucks, coins, and other things. He enjoyed fishing, reading and studying the bible as well.
James is survived by his wife, Song Brown, Manhattan; one daughter, Lillian (Tim) Weisbender, Manhattan; 3 grandchildren, Brianna Carmack and Tayden and Grayson Weisbender.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 P.M. Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan, KS. Interment will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Fort Riley/Manhattan with military honors.
