MANHATTAN - 'Path 2 Better,' a donation drive to benefit community members in need continues with PowerHits 97.5.
With warmer weather approaching, the wish list for donations has been updated to include items that are highest on the list of needs for those serviced by 'Be Able' including portable snacks and lightweight jackets.
Donations from community members are taken to 'Be Able Community,' a daytime center connecting adults to a variety of resources, to be dispersed to those in need.
Be Able Community offers multiple services, including, a safe and comfortable space to rest and get out of the weather; with access to computers, Wi-Fi, and a support system of volunteers with connections to employment, training and housing assistance.
PowerHits is asking for donations of many items to benefit Be Able. A list of items that can be dropped off at the Eagle Radio office (301 S. 4th Street, Manhattan) can be found below, or you can use the Amazon wishlist to have to have items shipped directly.
More than 30 large trash bags full of clothes and shoes along with 4 boxes of food have been donated so far.
