MANHATTAN - According to the Riley County Emergency Management social media accounts, there have been multiple reports of downed trees and powerlines around Manhattan.
The high winds moving through the area have toppled multiple trees.

Officials are asking travelers to avoid areas where downed trees and powerlines are located and allowed crews space to safely remove the downed trees, and powerlines.
Crews from Manhattan Fire Department and Evergy are responding to clear debris and powerlines, and restore power.
