Manhattan officials report that Spring Cleanup is nearly finished in the city..

At the end of the day Thursday, all scheduled neighborhoods for Days 1-3 were completed, and crews were able to get through about 25% of Day 4 routes. Fortunately, the light rain didn’t halt the process, and Street Superintendent Dan Tyson expects operations to be completed by early next week.

So far, approximately 140 tons of yard waste and debris have been collected. This effort not only helps clean up neighborhoods but also plays an important role in keeping storm drains clear and functioning properly.
