Stormont Vail Health announced that the Walk-in Services Clinic at the Flint Hills Campus is now known as Express Care Flint Hills and has moved to a new location within the hospital campus.
Residents who have relied on the Rural Health Clinic’s Walk-in Services at Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus will notice a new name and new location.
The clinic formerly known as Walk-in Services (and AlphaCare under Geary Community Hospital) is now Express Care Flint Hills, reflecting Stormont Vail Health’s continued commitment to providing convenient access to same-day care for patients across the region. Patients will continue to receive care from the same trusted team while benefiting from a new clinic space, dedicated entrance, and more convenient access to care.
As part of the transition, Express Care flint Hills has moved to a new location on the southwest side of the Flint Hills Campus in the space formerly occupied by Children’s Mercy. The new location features its own entrance and parking area, making it easier for patients to access care when they need it.
The change is intended to better reflect the clinic’s role in providing convenient, same-day care for illnesses and minor injuries while improving the patient experience through a dedicated clinic environment. Patients can continue to expect the same care they have received through Walk-in Services, now under the Express Care Flint Hills name.
Express Care Flint Hills provides care without an appointment for common illnesses and minor injuries, including ear pain, infections, insect bites, mild burns, painful urination, persistent diarrhea or vomiting, persistent high fever, skin rashes, strains and sprains. Patients can also access lab services, X-rays, stitches, and sports physicals.
The Express Care Flint Hills Ribbon-Cutting Celebration will take place at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus, 1102 St. Marys Road, in Junction City. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the team and see the new space.
