RILEY COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
A 2014 Ford Focus driven by Randy Welter, 71, of Manhattan, had failed to yield on a left turn at Hayes Drive and McCall Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 2015 Chrysler 200 driven by Callen Barta, 19, of Manhattan, struck the Ford. The Chrysler then ran into a 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by Jackson West, 18, Manhattan, while trying to stop.
EMS transported Welter and his passenger, Teresa Frazier, 65, of Manhattan, to Via Christi for treatment. Welter was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
