The City of Junction City is issuing a boil water order due to issues at the water treatment plant. City officials confirm that there is still water in the system; however, as a precautionary measure they are advising citizens to boil water for human consumption.
Work is being done to restore they system as soon as possible, and they will continue to update the public as they learn more.
The boil water advisory follows the overnight flooding of the basement of the water plant.
