RCPD: Arson alleged in apartment fire in Manhattan

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged arson at an apartment in Manhattan.

Just before 7a.m. Monday, officers filed a report of arson in the 2500 block of Stagg Hill Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

Russ Briggs, who owns the apartment complex property, reported apartment #5 sustained fire damage of an unknown origin.
