5 hospitalized after 2-vehicle Geary Co. crash

GEARY COUNTY—Five people were injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Monday in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Nissan Sentra driven by  Nicholas Joshua Guernon, 27, Jacksonville, FL., was southbound on Kansas 18 approaching the stop sign at Interstate 70. 

The driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign and  struck a 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Justin Cole Finch, 27, Junction City, that was making a left turn onto K-18 from I-70.

EMS transported Finch, passengers in the Jeep Emallie J. Gowens-Finch, 25, Junction City; Belinda Gossett Terry, 65, Columbus, Georgia and passengers in the Nissan Matthew Ahmed Ramadan, 21, Henderson, Nevada and Jesus Lopez, 24, Odessa, Texas, to Geary Community Hospital.

Guernon was not transported for treatment, according to the KHP. All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
