COVINGTON, La. — Jessica Ashley Gauntt, age 36, departed this life on March 4, 2023. Jessica was born in Junction City, Kansas, on May 8, 1986. Jessica “Jess” was the daughter of Stacey Edwards and Michael Gauntt.
Jessica graduated from Poplar Springs High School in 2004. She had many friends during her life who remember her as being a kind and fun-loving person. She was always thinking of others and wanting to help those in need. She lived in many places including Bonifay, Florida, Jasper, Alabama, Pensacola, Florida, Eudora, Kansas, Milton, Florida, and most recently Covington, Louisiana.
Jessica is survived by her mother, Stacey (Jason) Edwards, father, Michael Gauntt, sons Jerrin Gauntt, Tuscon “Eli” Schenck, brother Jeremy Gauntt, sister, Jona Bauer, Uncle Don and Aunt Dot Hendrix, Uncle Carl and Aunt Jodeen Hendrix, and her beloved Granny Pat Hendrix. Also left behind to grieve her are her companion for seven years, Brian Schenck, and best friend Evelyn Carnley and many family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Serinity Dawn Hansen, grandfather Tuscon Hendrix and Uncle Scott Hendrix.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday March 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Capel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
