...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CENTRAL DICKINSON... SOUTHWESTERN GEARY...SOUTHERN RILEY AND NORTHWESTERN MORRIS COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 200 AM CDT... The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for east central Kansas.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR NORTHWESTERN GEARY, SOUTHEASTERN CLAY AND WEST CENTRAL RILEY COUNTIES... At 1249 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wakefield, Riley and Milford.

At 1024 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Tuttle Creek Lake, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Onaga, Olsburg, Wheaton, Blaine, Havensville, Westmoreland, Tuttle Creek Lake, and far northwest Manhattan.

 ...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN GEARY AND SOUTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1000 PM CDT... The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been cancelled.

However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for central, north central, northeastern and east central Kansas.

SOURCE...Weather spotters reported funnel cloud. At 920 PM an emergency manager reported a funnel cloud 6 miles west of Talmage.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Wakefield, Milford Lake, Milford.

At 921 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Manchester, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud. At 920 PM an emergency manager reported a funnel cloud 6 miles west of Talmage.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Manchester.
