Josephine Rago, 97, of Junction City, Kansas was called to the Lord and her family on Monday, September 2, 2024.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Kerry Ninemire officiating. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the C.L. Hoover Opera House or the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School or to the organization of the donor's choice.
Josephine was born April 5, 1927, in Junction City, Kansas the daughter of Tony and Rachel (Villani) Rago.J osephine graduated from St. Xavier Catholic High School. She was associated with Rago Food Center for many years. Josephine enjoyed volunteering her time with various community services. She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Josephine is survived by lifetime family members and many friends of the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Louis, Peter, Leonard and John; sisters, Lena and Ruth.
