According to the Geary County Sheriff's Department searchers continued their efforts Monday to recover a suspected drowning victim in the Curtis Creek area on the northwest side of Milford Lake.
Jesse Paul Sockness, 41, Lawrence, disappeared while swimming in the lake on April 30, but so far there has not been any recovery of the suspected victim.
Searchers planned to work from the shoreline Tuesday due to the anticipated high winds and waves at the lake.
