K-State has announced a revised plan to observe spring, summer and fall 2020 graduates in combined ceremonies on Nov. 20 for the Polytechnic campus and Nov. 23 and 24 for the Manhattan campus. The commencement ceremonies had initially been set for Dec. 11 and 12 but are now being moved up.
The earlier dates follow the university's efforts to reduce COVID-19 risk for students, their families and their communities by reducing the need for students to travel.
The working group that traditionally plans university commencement ceremonies will collaborate with students, college representatives, medical professionals and other stakeholders to plan ceremonies that honor the graduates and attend to the health and safety of the graduates and guests.
