Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center is now offering riding classes at their facility which began operation in Topeka on June 1. Classes can be scheduled by visiting the website hoperanchks.org. Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center- Manhattan has received a partial grant from the Christopher Reeve Foundation. A Sure Hands Lift has been installed to assist with placing riders with special needs on horseback. It lifts individuals from their seated position in a wheelchair and places them on a horse so they can begin their riding session. The lift is a safer, more efficient way to work with the disabilities of the riders. Hope Ranch is the only riding center in Kansas with this type of lift for riders.
