Update: 4 hospitalized after crash on South Scenic Drive

RILEY COUNTY— Four people were injured in an accident just before noon Wednesday in Riley County.

On Wednesday, June 10th around 11:50 a.m. officers responded to an injury crash in the 1000 block of Scenic Drive in Manhattan.

According to the Riley County Police Department,  a 2014 Chevrolet Impala and a 2012 Isuzu work truck had crashed after the parked Isuzu entered the roadway and was hit by the Impala in the 1000 block of Scenic Drive in Manhattan.

EMS transported the driver of the Impala to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. A female passenger in the impala was flown to a Topeka hospital. 

EMS transported one man in the Isuzu to Via Christi. A private vehicle transported the other man in the truck to Via Christi. Scenic Drive was closed for a few hours while emergency crews worked the scene.

The RCPD released no additional details Thursday.

South Scenic Drive on the west side of Manhattan was closed from K-18 to Anderson Avenue for awhile Wednesday afternoon due to an accident. The RCPD said the roadway has reopened.

Police reported that three people were injured in the crash in the 1000 bock of South Scenic Drive.
