Haley Nicole George, age 18 of Manhattan, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023.
She was born on July 22, 2004 in Hiawatha, Kansas, the daughter of Jason Christopher George and Brandy Marie Owen. She was baptized in the Green United Methodist Church, attended the Green Christian School and graduated from Manhattan High School.
Haley was a waitress at IHOP in Manhattan. She loved listening to music, shopping, and hanging out with family and friends. In school she participated in volleyball, softball, cheerleading and was involved with Young Life when she lived in Missouri. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, granddaughter and she was loved.
She is survived by her mother, Brandy Owen (Chad) of Savannah, Missouri; her father, Jason George of Green; one sister, Hannah George (Hunter) of Savannah, Missouri; one nephew, Hudson Reys; one niece, Haislei Reys; her grandparents, John and Janice George of Green, Rick and Carol Owen of Green and Annette VanEpps of St. Joseph, Missouri; her great grandmother, Donna Owen of Green; and her aunts, Jennifer Rodecap (Will) of Green and Mandy Campbell (Josh) of Manhattan.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jeff George and great grandmother, Maxine Friederich.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Gill officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center.
A memorial has been established for the Haley George Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
