The 1st Infantry Division - Forward in Poland has competed their Atlantic Resolve mission and transferred authority to the 1st Cavalry Division. For more than two years the team has trained and built capabilities with this nation's allies and partners as part of U.S. Army #StrongEurope.

A check with Fort Riley revealed that since 2018, when the 1st Infantry Division established the Atlantic Resolve mission, approximately 300 Big Red One Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilians rotated through the assignment.&nbsp;

The forward element is staffed by approximately 75 Soldiers, with those who served most recently returning to Fort Riley this month where they will be placed for a designated time on quarantine to prevent possible spread of COVID-19.
