3 adults, 10-year-old hospitalized after Riley Co. crash

RILEY COUNTY —Four people were injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Friday in Riley County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Fausto Raucho-Rivera, 36, Linn, was southbound on U.S. 24 one mile north of 48th Street.

The SUV  left the roadway to the right. The driver lost control of the vehicle and reentered roadway. It crossed the center line.

A northbound 2017 Subaru Forrester driven by Jill R.  Reynard, 53, Riley, struck the Nissan head-on. 

EMS transported Raucho-Rivera and a passenger in the Nissan Ana Contreras, 37, Linn to a hospital in Topeka.  EMS transported a second passenger in the Nissan Brittany Raucho, 10, Linn, to Children's Mercy.   Reynard was transported to KU Medical Center. 

Brittany Raucho was not properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the  KHP. 

The accident closed the highway for most of the Friday evening.
