The Riley County Fair is scheduled July 23-27 in Manhattan.

Riley County Extension Director, Gary Fike, said as officials "know it today we are planning for a regular 4-H event, in that we will have livestock shows, the static exhibits inside of Pottorf Hall, photogaphy, woodworking, horticulture, foods and nutrition all those kinds of things are going to go on as normal the way it looks right now."

Of course COVID-19 surges, Fike noted that there could be local orders that don't allow a regular livestock show, a regular fair. "And we are prepared to deal with that with a Plan B." That would probably involve  one-on-one social distancing where 4-H'ers would have their projects judged. "But it will just be come and go and there won't be any public display."

It is unknown yet if Ottaway Amusements Carnival will operate as they normally do during the Fair at Cico Park.

The Fair is scheduled July 23-27.

Fine noted that the 4-H Horse Show the week before the Fair is a planned go. "So we're hoping to be as close to normal as we can."
