Modernization of the I-70 - K-18 Highway interchange is one of the projects included in the new Eisenhower Legacy Transportation program unveiled Thursday.
KDOT said the program adds major highway projects to the agency's development pipeline where preliminary engineering work is ompleted to projects may be considered for construction.
The new program includes the interchange modernization to help alleviate capacity issues from nearby Fort Riley. The project would cover a one mile stretch of roadway and carries a cost estimate for fiscal year 2025 of $31 million.
