Posted May 09, 2020 5:15 PM

Manhattan Public Library has a reopening plan in which Library staff are preparing to resume services in a phased approach according to social distancing requirements over the next two to three weeks.   More details will be available next week, but at each level of the plan, services and activities will be evaluated and adapted to the latest orders from the state or county, service demand, library capacity and the current overall situation.

According to a release from the Library Level One will begin May 18. The west library book  drop will open for returns, and all returned material will be quarantined for 72 hours before check-in and no fines will accrue.

Summer reading sign up will begin and is open to all ages

Previously placed holds will be available for pick up by appointment only. You will be contacted by Library staff if you have a hold ready.

There will be access to a wide variety of online resources.

No donations will be accepted at that time.

The target date for Level two will be June 1, and there will be future Level 3 and Level 4 steps.
