Former lead singer for Bad Company, scheduled Sundown Salute performer has died

Geary County Convention and Visitor's Bureau Director and Sundown Salute Coordinator, Michelle Stimatze, confirmed on Thursday that one of  the scheduled headline performers for Sundown Salute in 2021, Brian Howe has died. 

Stimatze noted that Howe was a lead singer for Bad Company in the late 1980's and early 90's. "He has passed away at the age of 66."  Howe died of cardiac arrest at his home in Florida on Wednesday.

Howe had been scheduled to perform at Sundown Salute this year in Junction City, but the Fourth of July celebration was cancelled due to COVID-19.
