Manhattan Area Technical College President James Genandt said students in eight different programs were being welcomed back to the campus on Tuesday at staggered in sessions of 10 students or less. "They will finish their skills labs over the next few weeks to finish the spring semester."
Genandt noted that these are people for essential positions such as welders, air conditioning repair, electric power and computer networking specialists. "
Genandt observed that while COVID-19 is disastrous for the economy many businesses are looking for workers. "You still need people that can handle computer networks and cyber-security. You still need people who can fix air conditioning."
