MANHATTAN, KS – Daniel Simon has been named the principal of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. He currently serves as a classroom teacher at Sunset Elementary School in Salina, Kansas. He has served in that position since 2019. Prior to that, he was a classroom teacher at Northview Elementary School in Manhattan, KS from 2014 - 2019. Mr. Simon has a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2014 from Fort Hays State University and an M.S. in Educational Leadership in 2018 from Kansas State University.

Simon will begin his new position on July 22, 2020. He replaces Dr. Deb Nauerth. Nauerth took a position in a neighboring district.
