There have been 13 positive COVID-19 cases but there were no new cases on Friday, according to the Health Department
Eight of the 13 patients have recovered, seven tests are pending and 225 people have tested negative.
We expect to see an increase in positive COVID cases, in the State and the County. With the CDC and KDHE adding additional criteria to the list of symptoms, and more kits available, more tests are completed and processed. This allows us to identify and isolate/quarantine those with COVID more effectively and efficiently. Our goal is to limit the hospitalizations and fatalities of those who do contract COVID.
As the County re-opens, we want to remind citizens to complete a personal risk assessment prior to going out. A business opening does not mean you are required to visit that business. No individual should feel pressured to make unnecessary excursions. Anyone who does not feel well, and/or is experiencing symptoms of COVID should contact their primary care physician and not go out at all. Those who are in high risk categories should take extra precautions if they choose to go out.
