As we gradually begin to emerge from Stay at Home requirements the Chief of Staff for the 1st Infantry Division. Col. Kevin Lambert, said it's not the time to become complacent. He urged a Fort Riley town hall audience not to snap back to pre-COVID activities too quickly. "Everyone must continue to adhere to the restrictions in place."
Lambert noted that going forward there will be an increase in readiness related activities on the installation. "What you should expect to see over time is a movement away from the terms mission essential and a movement towards what is it that we can do to increase our readiness for the nation while adhering to strict prevent and protect COVID-19 measures."
Lambert congratulated the Fort Riley community to be proud of their efforts and activities that they put in to curbing the curve of COVID-19 and how it impacts the local community.
