COVID-19 numbers are updated for Pottawatomie County

Posted Apr 25, 2020 2:52 AM

Pottawatomie County Health Department officials reported Friday that there are 8 COVID-19 positive cases in that county and five of the patients have recovered. The other three  are in self-isolation.

There are 10 pending tests in Pottawatomie County and 153 people have been tested.

There has been an increase in the number of positive cases in Kansas lately.  This is due to two reasons; 1) A commercial laboratory that was not reporting positive cases to KDHE has been identified, and is now forwarding their information to KDHE for recording.  There is also increased testing, specifically in case cluster areas.
