There are safety guidelines to follow when shopping for essentials during COVID-19.

According to Riley County health officials you should wash your hands before and after touching store merchandise.

Use disinfectant on shopping carts and baskets. Send one person to shop for the household and don't buy more than what is needed for the next two weeks.

Keep six feet of space between yourself and others. Follow guidelines for check out lanes, maintain space, and abide by store limits for the number of people allowed in at one time.

Use curbside or delivery options if possible. Shop during hours with smaller crowds, such as early mornings. Use cloth masks when social distancing practices are difficult to maintain. Wash containers and fresh produce, and wash home surfaces after unpacking.
