On Monday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the American Red Cross will host a blood drive at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley to increase their current blood stores to meet the increasing demand for blood.
According to an announcement by Fort Riley to participate in this express blood drive as a donor, please schedule an appointment with the Blood Bank by calling 785-239-7673 during business hours 0900-1600. The American Red Cross will not accept walk-ins or online appointments, in order to limit the number of personnel waiting to give blood.
The American Red Cross takes its responsibility to protect the health of donors seriously. As a result, additional screening measures have been put in place: all donors are required to wear face masks and six feet of space will be maintained between donors during the donation process. If you are coming from outside of IACH, please park on the second and third levels of the parking structure and walk to the main entrance of the hospital, where you will be screened.
