As of Friday Riley County received a high mark of B+from the website Unacast for social distancing during COVID-19. Riley County Health Director Julie Gibbs said everyone is encouraged to continue to stay at home. "So far it's been working. We're one of the best counties in the state for many reasons. One reason is because of our social distancing grade. Keep doing what you are doing and we will get through this sooner rather than later."

Kurt Moldrup, Assistant Riley County Police Director, said while vigilance needs to continue in the preventative measures that have been taken it was reassuring to him that sacrifices that everyone in the community are working. "I also think it gives us something to focus on, and maybe motivates us to stay the course."

So far there have been 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Riley County, but there were no new cases on Friday.
