Riley County Health Officer Julie Gibbs has offered advice for coping with the circumstances surrounding COVID-19. "We know these are strange and difficult times we are in right now. It is more important now than ever to call up your neighbor, check up on family far away, or plan Face Time dates with friends."

Gibbs noted that an individual's mental health is just as important as their physical health. "Please get outside to enjoy a walk, jog or bike ride, try a new game or watch an old movie. Although it may rough right now we will get through it and will be better for it."

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness breath call the Health Department screening call center at 785-323-6400.
