Fort Riley officials work to provide COVID-19 protection

Fort Riley has a 14-day quarantine program in place. 1st Infantry Division Director of Public Affairs, Terence Kelley, said this is in accordance with Kansas Department of Health & Environment mandates. "Actually right now we are exceeding what's required so everyone who has traveled outside the region, would even a week ago, any individual that had traveled to a hot spot is being placed into a 14-day quarantine period."

Kelley said that's being done to ensure that Fort Riley everything possible is being done in coordination with county and state officials to protect against COVID-19 spread and protect the Fort Riley people.

One Fort Riley Soldier has been identified with COVID-19 and is quarantined at his home in Manhattan. The Soldier had been on a recent trip to California, was tested there, and then later confirmed positive.
