Social distancing appears to be having an impact in Manhattan. It is one way to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The Assistant Director for the Riley County Police Department, Kurt Moldrup, noted while on patrol officers do see a lot of people out and about moving. "But I think they are maintaining the social distancing as we see people in the parks walking, groups of people standing together talking. They're doing it in groups less than 10 and maintaining the social distance."

Moldrup added, "So I do think that we're continuing to try and find that balance of staying home,  having these restrictions, but also still being an engaged community."

Moldrup spoke during a Facebook Live hosted by the Health Department in Manhattan.
