K-State cancels in-person commencement

Kansas State University has canceled in-person commencement ceremonies that were scheduled May 9, 15 an 16 on the Manhattan and Salina Polytechnic campuses. According to the university alternate methods to celebrate the academic achievements of students and will release details later.

Housing and Dining Services will close residence halls and dining centers beginning March 20.

All university-associated travel is suspended and all in-person events and meetings are canceled.

Beginning Monday, March 23, classes will be taught remotely - not in person. Classes will continue remotely through the end of the semester.

Visitors should cancel or postpone campus visits during this time.

The measures being taken are based on recommendations from K-State's Emergency Management Working Group.
