Blaine Vernon Burton, 77, of Junction City, Kansas died on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas. Cremation will take place. No memorial services are planned.
Blaine was born August 7, 1946, in Worland, Wyoming the son of Harold Eugene and Geraldine (Pearl) Burton.Blaine was business owner and developer in Junction City, Kansas from 2004 until 2016. Prior to moving to Junction City, he was a business leader for Western Peterbuilt in Seattle, Washington from 1986 until 2004.Blaine served in the United States Marine Corp from 1966 until 1969 having served several tours in Vietnam.Blaine enjoyed playing baseball and softball with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing hours of cards with his wife Carla where he lost many pennies that added up over the years as many dollars. Blaine also enjoyed a good game of golf. He spent every Saturday bowling with his buddies. On November 9, 1968, he married Carla Shelton in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife Carla of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Jeffrey Burton of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Nicole Jepsen of Junction City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kendall and Maximus Burton, Taylor and Tristen Jepsen. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Mark Burton.
