Fort Riley officials announced via social media on Wednesday that IACH operating rooms are temporarily shut down effective Jan. 29 due to an equipment failure with the boiler system. To ensure patient safety all surgeries will be re-scheduled or transferred to an area hospital. Patients affected will be contacted by their surgical team to discuss options.
Labor & Delivery services will be limited to outpatient triage. If you are an obstetrics patient after 20 weeks gestation and have a pregnancy-related emergency (symptoms of active labor, concerned about water breaking, vaginal bleeding, decreased fetal movement, please call IACH Labor & Delivery at (785) 239-7164. You will be given instructions as to whether to come to IACH for an evaluation or to seek care at the closest hospital based on your situation.
