Pansy Kay Hoover, 66, of Manhattan, KS, passed away Monday, January 13th, at Good Shepherd Hospice House. She was a computer specialist for Farm Services (ASCS) in Kansas City, MO.,

Pansy was born in Manhattan, on April 6, 1953, the daughter of the late Thelda I. (Menhusen) and Fred E. Yapp. She graduated from Manhattan High School; received a BS Degree in Accounting from Emporia State University.

She was the wife of Thomas Hoover, they were united in marriage on Sept. 30, 1972, at the Blue Valley United Methodist Church, Manhattan. She was a member of the VFW- Manhattan, American Legion Aux. #17, NARFE (The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, and loved to Quilt.

Pansy is survived by her Husband Thomas of Manhattan, two sons Britton Hoover and companion Janet Cruz, of Lenexa, KS; Alex Hoover, of Manhattan. Pansy is also survived by a sister, Cheryl Yapp, of Manhattan and brother, Fred "Gene" Yapp, of Hoyt, KS.

Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2020, from 4-6 PM at Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Good Shepherd Home Care and Hospice 3801 Vanesta Dr. Manhattan, Kansas 66503 or KU Hospital- Cancer Center.

Private Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Jewell Cemetery, Jewell, KS.
