RILEY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Silverado driven by Richard Mckinsey Lawrence II, 31, Manhattan, was eastbound on U.S. 24 just east of Blue River Hills.
The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Bruce Edward Reed, 64, Riley, head-on
The Chevy overturned into a ditch coming to rest on the wheels.
EMS transported Reed to the hospital in Manhattan. Lawrence was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP
