Manhattan, Kan. — Nov. 13, 2025 — Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an "A," "B," "C," "D" or "F" grade to general hospitals across the country based on more than 22 performance measures reflecting accidents, errors, injuries and infections, as well as the systems and protocols hospitals have in place to prevent them.

This is the ninth “A” grade for Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan in the last five years. The hospital previously earned the award in spring and fall 2021, spring 2022, spring and fall 2023, spring and fall 2024, spring 2025, and now fall 2025, reflecting the hospital’s ongoing dedication to patient safety and quality care.
