FORT RILEY - On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Fort Riley will honor military retirees with the annual Retiree Appreciation Day.
All military retirees from all branches of military service, their spouses, widows or widowers are invited to Riley's Community Center.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with presentations beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Information will be provided throughout the day on TRICARE, Medicare, Irwin Army Community Hospital services and other health issues, veterans' affairs, legislative issues, casualty affairs, long term care insurance and many other topics of concern to military retirees.
Additionally, many veterans service organizations will be on hand providing information to attendees.
Irwin Army Community Hospital will provide vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those needing influenza, shingles, pneumonia and tetanus vaccinations.
