UPDATE:
Eldora Mae Wunder, 83, of Vermillion, South Dakota formerly of Junction City, Kansas died on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10-11 a.m at Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. at Milford Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate.
Eldora was born August 15, 1940, in Ogden, Kansas the daughter of Harold Edgar and Blanche LaVeta (Cumming) Johnson. Eldora was a homemaker in Junction City for many years where she raised her children. She also worked as a cashier for Food 4 Less Grocery Store and Walmart. She enjoyed helping and visiting with her customers at Walmart. She took interest in their families and always wanted to make sure they were doing okay. Eldora also enjoyed playing bingo, often going more than once a week. Eldora loved her grand babies very much. She often would worry about their whereabouts, even when she wasn't able to get up and go see what they were up to. She always knew their common schedules and she was always the first one to realize if they were late. On January 31, 1958, she married LeRoy (Carl) Wunder. He died November 3, 2008.
Eldora is survived by her loving sons, Tony Wunder and his wife Sarah of Vermillion, South Dakota, Terry Wunder and his wife Lisa of Girard, Kansas and Tim Wunder and his wife Kathy of Milford, Kansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Ariel, Jarrett, Michelle, Cayden, Carson and Camryn; four great-grandchildren, Conner, Camden, Trace and Emma; many cousins, nieces, nephews and a handful of very close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl; one daughter, Tracey Foreman; two brothers, Glen Johnson and Joseph Johnson.
