RILEY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday. in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy Silverado driven by Noe Santillanes-Marquez, 42, Greenleaf, was southbound on U.S. 77 just south of Dogwood. The driver lost control of the vehicle and trailer. The pickup traveled onto the west shoulder and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic, entered the east ditch, overturned and struck an embankmen.
EMS transported Santillanes-Marquez and a passenger Leopoldina Santillanes, 40, Greenleaf, to Communitiy Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Both were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
