Dianna Lynn Edwards, 69, of Westmoreland, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday (April 2, 2024) at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Born July 17, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri, Dianna was the daughter of Donald Edward and Betty Joyce (Hayes) Walker. She married William Edwards on January 8, 1977 and they had two daughters, Erin and Katie.
Dianna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University. Selflessly, she focused her energy into her proudest achievement, her two daughters, working as a stay at home mom while they were young. Later, she was the administrative assistant for Pottawatomie County Public Works until her retirement in 2020.
Family was most important to Dianna. She loved spending time with her daughters and siblings, but she especially cherished the time she shared with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Erin Plummer (Eric) and Katie Klenda (Greg) both of Olsburg, KS; five grandchildren, Brayden Plummer, Shanna Plummer, Dalton Klenda, Chase Klenda and Sydney Klenda; a brother, Donald E. Walker Jr. (Susan) of Overland Park, KS; a sister, Deborah Crough of Merriam, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dwight Wayne Walker.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego with Pastor Jol Klein officiating. Burial will be in the Westmoreland City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
