RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police department activity report Laura Zill, 61, Manhattan, failed to yield the right of way to Glady Schroeder, 84, Manhattan at the corner of Claflin Road and Wreath Avenue in Manhattan.
EMS transported Zill to the Via Christi for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Zill was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
The RCPD did not released details on the vehicles the women were driving, their direction of travel and whether they were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
